`100 GE Constant On Lights Review`
While the name may give the indicataion that these are like the 'Remains Lit' and 'Stay-Lit' sets, they should NOT be confused with those brands. The only way these differ from a 'normal' set of mini lights is that they will stay on if bulbs are fully removed from the sockets... so if there's a bad bulb you'll still have to go searching the string just find it While you can remove 1 or more bulbs from their sockets and the set will remain on, the set will get slightly brighter with each one removed. thus reducing the life of all remaining bulbs (just like dead bulbs in a normal set). If you didn't read the review for 'Remains On' and 'Stay-Lit' sets, those will instead get dimmer with each additional one removed...which will increase the life of remaining bulbs So how does it work? Each socket contains a pair of extended metal tabs that make contact only when a bulb is removed Interesting things: Flasher bulbs will work like they do in any other mini set. The set contains 2 non-replaceable bulbs (without shunts)...yep thats right, they are not meant to be changed. When those die the set will go out...and you'll have to cut the sockets out replace them if you want to use it. Why the f--k they did this i don't know...
